2017 | MY YEAR IN REVIEW

Whenever a new year comes around, I’m always like “oh wow, it’s that time of year again?”. Apparently so. I’ve been so inconsistent with blogging in 2017 but I’m now back and even better! 2017 was a roller coaster of a year for me but it paved the way for blessings on blessings in 2018. So, let’s get to it then shall we?

WHERE HAVE I BEEN?

We all know how it goes when life gets in the way. It’s been one heck of a roller coaster this year. For starters, I GRADUATED! On May 13, 2017 I became a first generation college graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science with concentration in Sports Management. Words cannot explain the depression, loneliness, and stress I went through to get this degree. I moved four times within this year. Aside from the hassle that moving brings, my girlfriend of three and a half years and I got our first place together. So thats a big deal right? Well maybe just a little. In August while we we’re vacationing in Miami, my girlfriend asked me to MARRY HER! I’m going to be someone’s wife y’all! Lastly, I got into graduate school and I am doing a year long masters program. In August of 2018, I will obtain my Mater’s of Science in Integrative Wellness.

WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE?

So what’s next you ask? I’m not too sure. The plan is to take each day as it comes. I have so many plans for myself this year but I don’t want to jinx anything so I will share them with you all as the opportunities arise. In this mean time I’ll share a few of my goals with you. In the meantime, I want you all to know that I plan on being more consistent with blogging! You expect posts every Monday and possibly Friday if my busy schedule allows for it.

2018 GOALS

  1. Blog goal:
  • Post consistently, 1x-2x weekly on
  • Monday and Friday
  1. Fitness Goals
  • Lose 40 pounds this year
  • Create a morning & night routine
  • Improve balance and flexibility (become a yogi)
  • Try one new type of exercise
  • Create a consistent workout routine
  1. Lifestyle Goals
  • Read a new book once a month
  • Make bed every morning
  • Organization
  • Bullet journaling
  • Pay off debt
  1. Career Goals
  • Obtain Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification 
  • Obtain NASM or ACSM 
  • Start my own business 🙂 – speaking this into existence!
  • Become a health coach, and track & field coach
